About YDC • Staff

Currently there are 8 staff members working for the YDC including full time, part time and volunteers. They are skilled in a diverse range of specialist areas such as Agronomy, Agricultural Technicians, Nursery Attendants and Development Practitioners.
These staff work with the YDC because they want to acquire additional skills to enable them contribute to the wellbeing of the youth especially primary school kids. They can expect to attend educational seminars and workshops and work in partnership with other organizations and individuals on their projects where experiences are shared.
Some staff give computer training to students in our computer literacy unit while others carry out field activities like tree nursery and planting, monitoring of projects, deliver lectures during vegetable gardening training workshops in schools as well as train children on pig rearing. Others also deliver talks on HIV/AIDS prevention in schools while some are sent to assist in the establishment of school vegetable gardens and orchards.
As coordinator, and the founding member of the organization, Mr. Akang’s ambition is to ensure that the young people are given the opportunity to also contribute to the wellbeing of the Cameroonian youth and the international community at large
